Why Only One Orgasm?

I know the actual practice of enforced male chastity is as diverse as the number of people who play the game.
But in the cookie cutter stories of orgasm denial when the male is allowed his long denied freedom typically he is permitted on orgasm before the penis prison is restored.
Why not a day or weekend or week of freedom to have as many orgasms as he wants? Why not the freedom he once had so that he becomes used to having the orgasmic freedom of old?
At least from one vantage it seems that then taking away his freedom would be more impressive, wicked as it were?

I agree completely. This is how it’s been for me whenever I’ve experienced t&d. In a way, it is more cruel; in enables a re-familiarization with what is about to be taken away.
It’s sort of like working outside on a hot day. If you stay outside, you get used to the heat. But if you keep going inside to the air conditioning every hour or so, the heat becomes much more noticeable. Having a few days or weeks to have unlimited orgasms before being locked back up really lets me know what I’m missing whenever the cage goes back on.
But I still think the one-orgasm method can be hot to throw in there occasionally for variety.

Yeah, it certainly seems the stereotype that there is one and only one orgasm. I wrote some of my thoughts on this a while ago, and the conclusion was much the same as yours: the variations can each be hot. They may even be hotter when spiced together.
Unfortunately, much like the rest of F/m D/s tropes, we are rules by stereotypes, and that is incredibly restricting.

One time? Easy. After orgasm I immediately become less submissive. This leads my wife to want to keep me locked up for longer and longer periods of time (generally 2-6 weeks). At that point, a single orgasm does NOT relieve 100% of the pent up horniness. Hence, instead of taking a week to feel deprived again, and hence more submissive, it happens almost immediately after the key clicks. She has also found the speeding up the process helps with the desired result. She generally forces me to masturbate in front of here quickly and furiously, hoping to end the process in 30 seconds or less. She enjoys the deprivation == that is forcing me to suffer deprivation == and has discovered that “never” wears off, slow wonderful orgasms reduce the effect, and multiple orgasms ruin the effect — so for her I get rare, quick, single orgasms and then re-locked.
